Puppies expected May 5 by Ch. Lakewind's Shot in the Dark x Lochranza Lucille. Sables and Tri's ... This is the long-awaited and carefully planned "out-cross" mating our kennel has been waiting for. Lucille is a beautiful Sable intensely line-bred on our great champion "Kane" and the sire of this litter is one of the top-ranking Collies in the breed, just back from his appearance at Westminster. I can tell you, this mating is the most special breeding we have ever done since the kennel was founded in the early 1940s. We are selecting our 2007 show stock from this litter and a limited few could be available as breeding stock to approved homes. NOTE: We will not consider homes where any of these puppies might be neutered or spayed. We haven't kept this kennel going all these years for our valuable bloodline to reach a dead-end.

Terms and Pricing

We often have puppies that are show quality, but, we only guarantee our dogs as great pets. On that basis, our dogs are graded according to what we think their quality level is. For dogs considered strictly pet quality, pricing starts at $1,000.00. For dogs we think are show prospects, or valuable to the breeding pool, we have a different, and higher pricing structure that we would be happy to discuss with you.

Occasionally, we have a puppy that we feel would benefit our breeding program and we reserve special breeding privileges to that dog as part of the purchase agreement, reflected in our asking price. This insures that the quality of LOCHRANZA COLLIES will be continued and we can continue to improve our line.
